About me

Seattle-based engineer, family guy, and an enthusiastic participant in the long game of making software behave.

A little more context

I grew up in Southern California, but now I live in Kirkland, Washington. I'm married to an amazing wife and together we're raising three super-cool kids and an adorable cat too.

Professionally, I'm a Senior Principal Engineer at Atlassian where I set technical vision and define architecture for global navigation and admin experiences. Previously, I worked at GoDaddy, running their UX and Product Platform teams; and before that I worked at Microsoft on SharePoint and OneDrive.

I'm a bit of a geek: I've been writing software of some sort since I was 12 and I'm fluent in several coding languages. I also like to tinker with smart home technology. My house does all kinds of handy things from closing blinds at night when sunrise will be too early, to turning on the lights when we get back home.

I also like to write some open source software every now and then. It's a pleasure to give back to the open source community.

I earned my bachelor's degree at Cal Poly Pomona, where I majored in Computer Science. I've also earned a master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington.

On my spare time, I like to hang out with my family and check out new breweries. We've built quite the brewery sticker collection on our kegerator so far.
